i think everyone can just show up and have a conversation, and they can take what they want and leave the rest.
there isn't a need to all agree.

That’s actually how these posts evolve into something useful, though! Otherwise they would be dry questions and answers or advice, and to be quite frank, I don’t think people come here for that. I came here to hear different people's experiences after I realised I fell clearly into one category. I’m not a fan of that category, but I have to start from somewhere if I am to have progress. I was truly horrified when I read people’s experiences of people like me. I think being here is diminished when we retract to only defending our corners. There is real richness in the candour of experiences shared on this forum. when i offer my perspective i am not defending a corner, as i have expressed many times i am encouraging empowerment and freedom from one's own trap. i have expressed that many times here and the posters i interact with get that and thank me. so, really , i think that there should be respect shown for interactions between posters even if you don't agree with it. add your two cents and if someone is helped by it, none of us need to judge it as unhelpful do we? nobody needs to capitulate to anyone here.
