So it sounds like PTSD could be relevant here. Honestly I wonder if sometimes such things really become even more relevant than attachment style.

Great response faithopelove - the sunk cost fallacy is the AP curse. The signs are signs that you should end prematurely, not signs that you need to try harder to prove something. I have fallen into that trap many, many times. Leaving can feel clunky and unfinished, and it can haunt you because it's not what we are used to, it doesn't feel intuitive because it isn't our pattern, but it's the new secure pattern we can move into
This!!! Brilliantly put.
Yes, exactly...learning to take red flags at the onset and not look the other way or make up excuses. This is new for me but something I definitely need to do!!

Hello Leavethelighton, You are right, he does have PTSD. It makes me feel sorry for him and makes it harder to walk away. But then I just end up getting more hurt. Faithopelove, I am sorry to hear that you remarried the same man. I always felt with my two marriages I married my parents-twice! It is hard to break cycles and patterns, all we can do is try. I appreciate SO SO much everyone's thoughts and reflections and input. Thank you all and I hope you all have something to be thankful for, this Thanksgiving!!! Blessings on you!!!
