I don't even know why I get sucked in by "5 strategies to win him" "7 mistakes that push men away" and "3 secret ways to get him to want to chase you". First of all...I know these things...it isn't as if I did not watch hundreds of them when I was dating B..but second...every time I watch one now..it is with this "hope" that there is some secret, some strategy I haven't tried yet that will convince B to give us another chance. It is so automatic that I almost did not catch myself sliding into it tonight...but the moment I did..I exited out of the video I was watching. I remember after B broke up with me, I did the same thing with "win him back" videos...I binge watched hoping for something that would turn things around. My heart just does not want to give up....so against a great desire to continue down a path of hopefulness, instead, I watched a TED talk on Self Confidence.

Oh man, do I know exactly how you feel!!! I'm lucky to have a job where I can work while listening to music/podcasts and Audiobooks! I've been on a serious binge for the past month or so trying to figure out every single angle I can play with this person (who happens to be an Island) who has thrown me from being an Island to a wave. It's so bad because I can rationalize everything about this relationship but here I am, joining a forum (today) and trying to learn just a bit more about myself and them and how to get a better handle on our potential future together.
On positive note, I will be a relationship guru by the end of the year if this listening pace keeps up!
Good on you for the TED Talk vids on self confidence... Much better choice.
I personally have been doing more and keeping a lot busier with Bachata lesson (I'm actually decent), more walks as the weather is improving and some photography to go with it.
I think the best thing is that you caught yourself before you were 4 hours. It's tough and it sucks to feel like that.
Best of luck!

Welcome to the boards....and for anyone who does not know the wave/island analogy used by Stan Tatkin...Island is DA and wave is AP. There are a lot of really good discussion threads, however we do not have a lot of active posting DAs (islands) on this forum at the moment. I wish you just the best luck with your current situation. 😀
