The other day I met up with a friend at a tea fusion shop to catch up. We both had a winter melon milk tea. What I noticed was that as we were talking, my anxiety and rumination increased. I have read about caffeine and anxiety before but this was the first time I was truly aware of a change. Since I am trying to reduce and not add to my rumination and anxiety...I am cutting out caffeine all together.

Winter melon milk tea sounds so ridiculously hipster-ish it's making my walking stick spin
In all seriousness though, caffeine is bad for anxiety as it creates racing thoughts. I get similar with cannabis, and alcohol of course is a depressant which is a little dodgy if you are in a fragile mood.
Seems the only thing I can partake in at the moment is a nice glass of lukewarm water
