Okay friends, so here is a poem for your entertainment and amusement. It reminds me of the push-pull dance.
Indecision by Leila Chatti
Prairie Schooner , Volume 91, Number 4, Winter 2017 , pp. 174-177
"Ah, go on, move. No, wait, you're not leaving, are you?"
ADONIS
If you go and I have not
asked you to go,
it is the worst thing. But if
I go (thus rendering you
One Who Is Left), this is bearable, almost
pleasurable, the act
of leaving—but never
after, reflecting,
at rest. I want you
gone but I am unwilling
to relinquish you. I want
your lack so I might
require you—wish
you gone so
you can come back.
