Has anyone tried Daniel browns “three pillars” for healing attachment trauma? I just downloaded his kindle book. He says it takes 6 Months-3 years to heal with his protocol

Never heard of it . I might take a look . I'm sort of stuck at the stage now where I have recognised I have a problem and what it stems from but I dont know how to go about fixing it

Interesting. Had not heard of it. Found this book review: www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/the-resilient-brain/201609/attachment-disturbances-major-breakthrough-in-treatment"Conclusion If you are a mental health provider or a person struggling in your own therapy, my analogy is that you cannot fix the upstairs until you fix the foundation of the house, which is the core attachment issue. This book provides the history of attachment and its various therapies, as well as a new revolutionary and comprehensive Three Pillar approach that will change your life and allow the healing to occur. This book is a must read."

This is a study done on one of the pillars which is recreating an internal working model (ideal parent figures) Small sample size but results were really good, even 8 months after the study www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5700488/

It contains all the consolidated up-to-date research in one comprehensive text, which is just what I'd been looking for. It's essentially a textbook -- 750 pages in print, and written from a clinical perspective -- but I've had no trouble understanding it, nor have I been bored by it. Fascinating, practical information.

I’ve been doing the visualisations when I can but apparently it takes a long time... will you employ some of the strategies in the book u think?

Yes, I'm going to share them with my therapist so we can try incorporating them into our sessions at least.
