I am finding that a lot of my anger issues tie to a perceived removal of choice. For instance, I have just been moved to a new team and at first I thought it was a good thing….but so far there is no clear direction on what I will be doing and that irritates me. I had also been told that I would be working in a particular space….managing a particular program…but there is another person who is now also on this newly developed team that has the same thought. And I am angry….I feel like I have been lied to (even though I know things are still being worked through). My reaction is definitely more then the situation allows so I am trying to understand what is at the root…but yeh…I am angry…throat is tight, face feels tight, body feels clenched…..how do I get out of this state?

tnr9, have you asked what the communication plan will be for figuring this out? And if you have any input in shaping the direction of the position if it's in process? Companies don't tend to prioritize the employees in reorganization decisions, but perhaps there's a way to proactively get them to be more transparent so you can feel more informed and less like something is happening to you that is entirely outside your control.

My understanding is that nothing will be known until late next week. I had a good conversation with a coworker where I felt validated and that did help some. I also had another aha moment about letting circumstances dictate my behavior….plus I am still working through the right dose of things.
