I have recently quit my job. There was a coworker I was work friends with. We chatted frequently during work, and he jokingly flirted quite a lot. When I left, he told me I could text or call him anytime. However, we had had an argument a few months before when I’d told him I hadn’t felt ready for a new relationship. He’d gotten quite angry, and told me I hadn’t been honest and I’d been inconsistent. He quit when I did. Is it worth checking in? Both fearful avoidant.

It is nice that you want to reach out, but it sounds like he has some issues with anger, trust and mutual respect.

Do you really feel emotionally safe trying to trust and connect with someone who lashed out at you for expressing your needs and feelings? What would you get out of contacting him?
Sounds like you trigger each other and should skip this one.
